Finished Product

Pre-treatment : This section is more suitable for the larger raw materials in the early stage, and it is not easy to directly crush or granulate through the crusher. But sometimes this section can be omitted. For example, the sawdust pellet production line can directly pelletize, and this section is not needed.

Crushing Section : This section is usually used in biomass pellet production line, forage gress pellet production line and nutshell straw pellet production line. For example, the SFSP hammer mill is used for wood and fruit shells, and the straw/alfalfa/husk/grass crusher is used for grass and straw. Different raw materials are equipped with different types of crusher.

Conveying Section : Conveying equipment is mechanical equipment that transports bulk cargo and unit goods from a loading point to an unloading point along a certain route in a continuous manner. The conveying equipment of RICHI machinery includes screw conveyor, scraper conveyor, belt conveyor and Bucket elevator.

Drying Section : To dry materials and remove the moisture from 50% to 15-17%. Itincludes: --Burningstove,tosupplyhotair --Drumdryer --Dischargingcyclone.

Pellet Mill: Wood pellet machine, also known as biomass pellet machine, has a wide range of raw materials: straw shells include wood, straw, sawdust, cotton stalks, rice husks, peanut shells, sunflower shells, coconut shells, coffee shells, bamboo, etc. . The grasses are alfalfa, hops, hemp, hay, grass, etc. In addition, there are organic fertilizer granulator, cat litter granulator and so on.

Cooling & Section : Pellets come out from pellet machine, its temperature is around 70℃, by cooling system, It can cool down to room temperature immediately. By momentary cooling, the hardness of pellets will become more stronger.

Screening Section : The forming rate of pellet machine is around 98 % , so there are still have 2% powder in pellets,by screening, sort out all the powders from pellets.

Packaging Section : There are three kinds of automatic packaging machines produced by RICHI machinery: powder packaging machines, granule packaging machines and (universal) dual-purpose packaging machines.

Dust Control System : A dust collection system is an air quality improvement system used in industrial production to improve breathable air quality and safety by removing particulate matter from the air and environment. Dust collection systems work on the basic formula of capture, convey and collect.

How to build a coffee husk, coffee waste ground, Coffee skin, coffee residues, coffee powder

Coffee husks are the residual products that are left behind after the cultivation of coffee and the wastes that are left after brewing coffee are known as coffee grounds, In addition, there is also Coffee skin, coffee residues and coffee powder. They are suitable for replacing fossil fuel and coal after being converted into the pellets. These pellets are used for cooking, home heating, boilers and the industrial stoves.

Coffee raw material market

Coffee has a huge demand in the market and hence it is produced widely in different parts of the world like Brazil, Vietnam, Indonesia, and Colombia. The coffee husk that is left behind after the cultivation of coffee can be converted into an extremely valuable fuel, which is known as the coffee pellet. Coffee pellets are becoming important sources of energy which are used for the generation of electricity.

Advantages of coffee pellets

1. higher heat value

there are 52.2kg of carbons in every 100kg of coffee waste ground, which contributes to the high heat value of coffee pellets, reaching more than 4200MJ/kg.While the wood pellets normally has 4200~4300MG/kg.

2. lower cost of raw material

coffee grounds normally comes from individuals, shops and factories, they throw way those coffee ground.so the cost of coffee waste ground is lower than others.

3. cleaner property

unlike other biomass raw material, coffee ground is coming from coffee beans, which must be pre-processed so that both the finished product and byproduct are clean and have no harm to human body.

4. short growing period

when raw material is wood type, the growing period of trees is about 4 year, while coffee bean only takes half of a year.that means you can get coffee waste material more easily.

FAQ About Coffee Grounds Pelleting

1.Why to make coffee residue biomass pellets?

First, the problem of energy shortage is more and more vigorous, so development and production of pellet biomass fuel have become a way out. Second, throwing away of spent coffee grounds will bring decontamination burden for environment. Third, coffee residues used as fertilizer are harmful for soil due to the caffeine, tannins and polyphenols in them.

2.Can profits be made from coffee grounds pelleting?

On one hand, the cost of coffee residues is lower than other raw materials. On the other hand, reasonable design of biomass wood pellet machine, pellet cooler and packing equipment reduces the amount of labor force and energy consumption. The two factors together enable you to get investment back only in a few months after which profits can be gladly made and enjoyed.

3.Is crushing process needed for coffee grounds pelleting?

In order to prevent clogging during pelletizing process, biomass wood pellet machine requires the size of its feedstock to be less than 5 mm which spent coffee residues can achieve without any doubt. Therefore, crushing process can be saved here.

4.Is drying process needed for coffee grounds pelleting?

Many raw materials should be dried before being sent to biomass wood pellet machine, while this situation doesn’t apply here because the water content of spent coffee grounds is about 12.2% which is in the range of its moisture requirement, 10%-15%.

5.Is extra additive needed for coffee grounds pelleting?

We know lignin contained in wood materials (such as sawdust, branch, and bark) can play the role of additive so that no investment needed for this part of necessity. Similarly and luckily, in coffee grounds also exist such substance whose proportion is as high as 33.6% in total.

6.What’s the use of produced coffee residue biomass pellets?

Like other pellet biomass fuel, the application of coffee residue biomass pellets ranges from industrial field to household living. In the former case, they act as the fuel of mass production in paper mill, chemical plant, power station, fertilizer factory, etc. In the latter, it embodies daily heat supply for individual family or service industry including restaurant, hotel and bank.
