Pre-treatment : This section is more suitable for the larger raw materials in the early stage, and it is not easy to directly crush or granulate through the crusher. But sometimes this section can be omitted. For example, the sawdust pellet production line can directly pelletize, and this section is not needed.

Crushing Section : This section is usually used in biomass pellet production line, forage gress pellet production line and nutshell straw pellet production line. For example, the SFSP hammer mill is used for wood and fruit shells, and the straw/alfalfa/husk/grass crusher is used for grass and straw. Different raw materials are equipped with different types of crusher.

Conveying Section : Conveying equipment is mechanical equipment that transports bulk cargo and unit goods from a loading point to an unloading point along a certain route in a continuous manner. The conveying equipment of RICHI machinery includes screw conveyor, scraper conveyor, belt conveyor and Bucket elevator.

Drying Section : To dry materials and remove the moisture from 50% to 15-17%. Itincludes: --Burningstove,tosupplyhotair --Drumdryer --Dischargingcyclone.

Pellet Mill: Wood pellet machine, also known as biomass pellet machine, has a wide range of raw materials: straw shells include wood, straw, sawdust, cotton stalks, rice husks, peanut shells, sunflower shells, coconut shells, coffee shells, bamboo, etc. . The grasses are alfalfa, hops, hemp, hay, grass, etc. In addition, there are organic fertilizer granulator, cat litter granulator and so on.

Cooling & Section : Pellets come out from pellet machine, its temperature is around 70℃, by cooling system, It can cool down to room temperature immediately. By momentary cooling, the hardness of pellets will become more stronger.

Screening Section : The forming rate of pellet machine is around 98 % , so there are still have 2% powder in pellets,by screening, sort out all the powders from pellets.

Packaging Section : There are three kinds of automatic packaging machines produced by RICHI machinery: powder packaging machines, granule packaging machines and (universal) dual-purpose packaging machines.

Dust Control System : A dust collection system is an air quality improvement system used in industrial production to improve breathable air quality and safety by removing particulate matter from the air and environment. Dust collection systems work on the basic formula of capture, convey and collect.

Production Line Description

Straw

Being a by-product of agricultural crops, straw is the dry stalks of cereal plants after grain and chaff have been removed. After the harvest time of crops, plenty of straws will be generated, such as corn straw, rice straw, wheat straw and cotton straw . Straw is very common all over the world especially in the countryside. Straw is usually used for paper making, ethanol production or animal feeding in the past. Nowadays more and more people have found the value of recycling straws as a revenue resources, among which straw pelleting is getting more and more popular.

How To Make Straw Pellets?

Step 1 – Preparation of raw materials

The harvesting process leaves straws mixed with dusts and other alien materials like stones, metals and plastics. These foreign components have the potential to damage pelleting mills and also lower the quality of the pellets. They must therefore be removed.

Step 2 – Grinding

Straw biomass is basically a tube-like material that needs to be crushed to the required size that can then be used in the aforementioned applications. Grinding mainly involves cutting and chopping the straw the appropriate dimensions usable in pelleting machines.

Step 3 – Drying

This process is often bypassed yet is still worth mentioning as part of straw pellet formation. Straw is delivered containing about 15% moisture content which is ideal for producing pellets. When saw dust is also used, then drying is added to the process.

Step 4 – Conditioning

This is basically the process of increasing straw hardness to the desired state. It involves application of steam or water as well as binding agents and additives. Conditioning is necessary for achieving right temperature that allows malleability and melting of the lignin (which is found in raw straw) to act as the binding agent. Increasing hardness prevents excessive abrasion when pelletizing.

Step 5 – Pelletizing

Straw ring die pellet press is the main phase of producing straw pellets. During this proves, consider aspects of moisture content in the straw, fibre strength, particle size and natural binders. All these influence the pellet quality. It is also important to prevent pellet breakage, overheating and pellet die blocking. These challenges may lead to increased energy costs, damaging the pellet mill and poor pellet quality. It is thus important to use high quality straw and also use thicker pellet die to increase compression length and yield favourable quality.

Step 6 – Cooling and Screening

After pelletizing, the straws will generally be hot and soft. They should then be cooled down to attain desirable hardness while refining fine particles. The final product will have reduced moisture content yet depicting increased bulk density. The moisture is often reduced from the 15-20% to below 10% while density rises from 130 to about 600 kg/m³.

Replace conventional coal with straw pellets can save 20% coal resource and reduce 65% of sulphur emission. According to the present annual industrial coal consumption, it saved 6400-7200, 00000 ton coal per year and reduced 360, 0000 ton sulphur emission.

Advantages of Straw Pellet Fuel

1. make pellets from strawHigh efficiency

2. Low cost

3. Wide application

4. Renewable

5. Eco-friendly

6. Promote the development of biomass energy

7. Promote the popularization of straw pellet press.

Straw pellets application

Straw pellets are widely used in daily life. Generally, straw pellets can be used as animal bedding, feed for animals, and fuel for heating for home and industry use.

1.Straw pellets as fuel

Straw pellets as fuels are usually burning at pellet boilers, pellet stoves and other pellet appliance at household. While large scale straw pellets usually co-fires with traditional fuels, such as coals, oil and others, at large scale boilers or power plant or factory, etc.

2.As animal bedding

Beside being used as fuel and animal fodders, straw pellets can also be used as animal bedding, such as horse bedding, cat litter, etc. Straw pellets used as animal bedding are popular for straw pellets are , natural products without additives and of high hygienic, they are the best products for animal bedding.

3.As animal feed

Straw pellets can be good pellet fodder for animals. Comparing with straw, the straw pellets fodders has the advantages of cleanness, balance nutrition, easy to store and longer quality guarantee period.
